Breaking down the microbiology world one bite at a time

I am a current 4th year Ph.D. candidate at Cornell University where I study antibiotic tolerance mechanisms in the pathogen Vibrio cholerae. I knew coming into graduate school that I would soon part ways with bench work and take up a career in science communication. I currently write for the Cornell Daily Sun newspaper and recently completed an internship at Cell Press, where I wrote various press releases for upcoming articles. I love all things bacteria and strive to make science accessible for all. I also write for my own personal blog (https://mrk269.wixsite.com/megankeller) and am excited to bring fun microbe stories to MicroBites!
