Breaking down the microbiology world one bite at a time

Mihaela Bozukova, MSc

Writer – Translator

I am a molecular-turned-computation biologist, currently pursuing a PhD at the Max Planck Institute for Biology of Ageing in Germany. My research focuses on how the genome changes as an organism ages.

Science helps me understand our world better. My goal is to share my curiosity and excitement for science and show that the natural sciences are not a dry or dreadful subject, but fascinating and fun. By combining my passions for science communication and data visualization, I aspire to make science more accessible.

In addition to writing MicroBites articles, I am part of the German MicroBites team and also responsible for our German Twitter (@GMicrobites).
