Breaking down the microbiology world one bite at a time

Writer

I am a 4th year PhD student in the University of Chicago’s Biophysical Sciences program, working on collaborative projects at Woods Hole’s Marine Biological Laboratory and the Microcosm Earth Center at Universität Marburg. I am interested in studying host-viral dynamics in the context of natural environments, particularly highly variable coastal sites. When I am not in the lab or field I can be found gardening, cooking, or engaged in all sorts of other nesting behaviors.
