I am an undergraduate student majoring in Biochemistry at McMaster University in Canada. My research interests lie in the fields of microbiology, immunology, and antimicrobial resistance. My current research focuses lies in the field of Antimicrobial resistance and it involves identifying ways of overcoming Pseudomonas aeruginosa’s outer membrane permeability barrier by exploiting its iron transporters to allow larger antibiotics as well as other natural products/antimicrobials to enter and inhibit/kill the bacteria. When I‘m not in the lab, I enjoy volunteering at STEM outreach initiatives, baking and sketching.
