Breaking down the microbiology world one bite at a time

As a molecular and systems biologist, I am interested in all things microbial communities and microbial cooperation. During my PhD, I used a combination of mathematical models and experiments to analyze a simplified microbial community and I found this to be a valuable way to learn about the mechanics of cooperation. However, I am also curious about microbes in the world around us, such as those in fermented foods and our bodies, and how they impact humans and the environment. I hope to bring you some fun articles about these topics at Microbites!
