Breaking down the microbiology world one bite at a time

Fiama Guevara

Writer, Translator (Spanish)

I am a Molecular microbiologist and biotechnologist interested in agricultural plant-associated microbial communities’ ecology and their interaction with environmental and management factors and plant pathogens. I combine laboratory and greenhouse studies, metabarcoding, whole-genome sequencing, multivariate data analysis and bioinformatics to better understand the relationship between crops and microbial communities and how to leverage the latter to enhance agriculture and food security.
